I all my excitement yesterday about Ravelry I thought nothing could bring me down!

Well.......... This morning I got up and the Fridge was a whopping 65 degrees -- should be 40. So, all the groceries I had bought Sunday are bad! But, I did get a chance to clean out the fridge and now it is defrosting in hope that maybe the compressor just froze and did not break!

It's Official

The concrete has been poured for the sun room and new patio! I am so excited.
The kids got to put their hand prints in the concrete and a neighborhood cat walked through it during the night after we poured it, so we have a line of cute cat prints too:)

Now we just have to Frame, roof, side, insulate, drywall, electrical, paint and put in the doors and windows!

The last 3 days

Ok People, I am suffering from ADD I am sure of it. In the last 3 days I have started 5 count them 5 new knitting projects. I have cast on, done a few rows and put them down! I thought I was being so good with my small UFO Pile and now is has quadrupled in size in just 3 days. What are the five you ask,
1. Furry Vandal Scarf
2. Knit in Round scarf for Anders
3. Purse for Hannah
4. Furry Scarf for Hannah
5. Mason Dixon Washcloth

So now, I found another pattern I want to do so bad and it is taking every bit of will power I have to not go and cast on the stitches for it! What is happening I never do this!!!!!!!

The whole blog Thing!

I have been kind of sporadic about posting to the blog lately, I have gotten better these last few weeks, but I want to be better all the time:)

I recently joined Swap-Bot and I had my first swap and it was a Blog Love swap. Super easy, I sent 5 people my blog address and they came to check it out:) I also got to check out 5 blogs, it is fun to see they way different people do their blogs, things I can do to make mine better and way more fun to read!

So anyway, I read a book yesterday -- yes it only took me 1 day -- it was that good. This book made me laugh, want to knit and it made me cry. Very few books have ever evoked that powerful of a reaction from me. But, I had to stop reading and have a good 10 minute cry last night. Crying is a powerful thing, it can make you feel better and sometimes a little worse at the same time:) The book is Friday Night Knitting Club by Kate Jacobs. I loved this book and would recommend to knitters and non-knitters alike. It is more about the sisterhood than it is about knitting. I think that we all should be a part of a "Friday Night Knitting Club"!

Have a wonderful day:)

A study of the Mason Dixon Washcloth!

So I found this book, Mason Dixon Knitting, saw the dishcloth and had to make it! I made it in a solid pink the first time, a variegated yellow the next time and then in the new striping yarn from Sugar and Cream, I think it is called Christmas! Here are the pictures of the 3 different cloths. I think that I like the striped one the most.

What is your favorite??

Scrapbooking night

I went to a friends house and was supposed to scrapbook! Well, I didn't get any scrapbooking done, but, I did a few other projects that have been waiting for me to get them done.

The First Picture is of a picture holder made out of a large binder clip and a scrap of paper and some coordinating ribbons. This was the make and take from last night. IT is super adorable and I think I shall make many more -- maybe for place cards at Thanksgiving or Christmas.

The second Picture is of a journal I made for Hannah. She will ove the pearls on the side. She is going to love her new diary! The last picture is of our Christmas Card for this year. Pink and Brown you say? I say, yes. I am tired of making blue and silver or red and green Christmas Cards. Those that make cards, it is a 3x6 card. The paper used is Stampin Up Chocolate Chip, Pretty in Pink and Whisper White. The ink is Pretty in Pink, Chocolate Chip and Versamark. The Ribbon is 5/8" Grosgrain Chocolate Chip and 1/4" Light Pink Grosgrain. The stamp set is Love & Joy by Stampin up. And, in the middle of the snowflake is a crystal. And the brad is a silver brad from Stampin up!

Anders Loft Bed

I am finally getting around to posting this!

For Anders birthday in August, Larry made him a loft bed. Anders loves it and we are amazed how much more room there is by bringing the bed up off of the floor! Anders loves his new bed. We still have a few things to do to it. There are going to be curtains across the front of the loft bed so there is a little "fort" under his bed. He also has a desk and some bookshelves under the bed.

I am a winner!!

I opened my mailbox yesterday and there was a bright, big package in there. For a moment I was wondering what in the heck it could be, nobodies birthday is happening right now, so I was thinking that the mail lady had delivered to the wrong address! But, when I got inside I remembered that I had won Bingo on the Love 2 knit Dishcloth group! It was super exciting to open the package and find all the super cool goodies Kim had sent for me:)

There was a super cute cloth and scrubbie, I love the color ways on these:) 3 Balls of cotton yarn, some of it the self striping yarn that I had not seen yet. Some Kissables, Knitting needles (From Cheryl), a super cute pumpkin row counter (from Star), recipe cards and a sheep measuring tape (from Cheryl)! All of it came in a little pink purse -- which my daughter has already claimed as her own:)

Thanks so much Kim and Star and Cheryl:)
