Aj is doing better :)

it is time for another AJ Update! He is doing better, they have moved him out of the ICU and he is in his own room. He is still not eating, they don't want to put pressure on the surgery area, but they are feeding him calories so he doesn't get too hungry.

The big things to pray for now are continued healing, being able to begin eating again and for him to sleep better (the pain will keep him up sometimes) !

Thank you all again for the prayer! I know that AJ went from not going to make it last Saturday to on his way to recovery because of the prayers of our friends and family and even people we don't know! I don't think that we could ever express our gratitude!

Thank you again for all your continued support and prayers :)

More Family pictures done

We also went to Bellingham this weekend for Larry's Parents 50th Anniversary! There was a party on Saturday night for friends a family, everyone had a great time. The kids all got Larry's Parents a scrapbook of 50 years of marriage for them for the Anniversary. We all had fun. Anders, Hannah and Tami also went over to Tami's cousin Dana's house for her daughters 1st birthday! That party was so fun. Anders and Hannah had lots of kids to play with and Tami got to see her cousin, her husband, their kids and Tami's Aunt and uncle!

Saturday Morning before the Party WE had family pics taken with the Olsen side of the family. We wore the same outfits as we did in Boise, but got some different poses. So here are those Pictures:)

Another AJ Update

I talked to my Mom tonight and AJ is doing good still. He has not woken fully since he is still on heavy doses of Pain Medicines, but they did lower the dosage today and he is also off of the ventilator, which means he is breathing on his own. Things are still improving, and he still has a long road ahead of him, but every step in a good direction is reason to praise and celebrate!

Thank you all again for your prayers.

Baby AJ Update

Thank you all for your prayers.
AJ was born with gastroscesis, where there is a hole in the stomach and some of the intestine develops outside of the body. He had a small portion outside, but inside he also had atresha, which is blockage in the intestines. In the first few months of his life he had 4 surgeries to correct his intestinal problems. On May 31st he was able to go home from the hospital after successfully eating and gaining weight.
On July 17th he was back in with complications due to high billy-rueben counts. While in the hospital he again developed severe blockage to his intestines and that is what the doctors were trying to fix for him.
He went into surgery at noon today and 6 hours later was done. The doctors removed some of the “bad” intestine, fixed a few hernias, removed the blockage and gave him a belly-button. The doctors say he is doing good and should fully recover from the surgery. Of course there are still the liver problems, but the medication he has been on in the hospital has been improving his counts and should correct the problems soon.
Thank you all for your prayers to help make AJ better! Again I am amazed by what prayer can do. There is nothing like the power of prayer.

Huge Prayer Request

Hi all,

I wanted to email everyone I knew to get some prayer out my my little nephew. His name is AJ and he was born on February 21st this year. He was in the NICU for the first 3 months of his life and then out of the hospital for the next 6 weeks. On Tuesday he was readmitted to the hospital ( Childrens Hospital in SLC Utah) for liver probelms -- his billy ruben counts were extremely high. He seemed to be improving, until I got a phone call today from my Mom (his grandmother) Tomorrow (Sunday July 22nd) Afternoon he is going into surgery. My Mom said that the doctors say there is no hope, but I know that we all know there is hope. Please pray for this adorable 5 months old little boy. My brother, Andy, His wife, Dannielle and her son Kalleb. They need all the hope they can get.

To see pictures of AJ and his family, look at the orevious post.

Thank you so much for all your help.
