fun things going on...

Life has been pretty hectic lately -- Hannah and Anders are home for the summer, no school to break up the day and lots of boredom we are trying to break up with a few camps and play dates:) My in Laws are having their 50th wedding anniversary in July and we are going up to see them for that, I have been working on the invitations and their "gift" from the kids. Larry has been busy getting our application into planning and zoning to make our childcare a Family Group Home Childcare instead of just a Family Home Childcare:) He has also been dealing with workers coming to the house to get ready for the add-on in the back. This week we should be getting the playground all built and the play chips into the playground area:) I am so excited to have all the toys in one area of the yard and lots of open space for the kids to run around in.

Our garden is going great guns -- I was worried, every time I have tried to garden in the past, the evil black thumb has made its presence known! So this time I went with a few impossible to kill items -- Tomatoes and Zucchini. I hope I remember why I picked those vegetables in a few weeks when I am over run in Tomatoes and Zucchini. Also, our raspberry bushes have some blooms, only a few more months until those are ready to pick.

knitting wise, I have been working on a dishcloth -- I noticed I was getting a little low and need to make some more. Larry also wants me to knit him a sweater, so I got a pattern and some yarn to do that for him, It will probably be a Christmas Present this year.

Also, I got the coolest new scrapbooking tool this week. The Quickutz Silhouette Digital Craft cutter. If you like hand cut titles and die cuts, this is a must have for you. The Price in the stores is a little steep, but keep your eyes on Ebay for deals, that is how I got mine:)

Sawtooth Relay

We had such a blast in Sun Valley this weekend! Larry ran on a team for the Sawtooth Relay and I was the teams volunteer. Larry's team had to get up at 3 am on Saturday morning to be at the race starting line by 5am in Stanley. It was a long day! It took his team about 10 1/2 hours to run the 62 mile relay, which is pretty good! Then of course we went out that night too:)
We ate at the Sawtooth Club in Ketchum on Saturday night, I had the most wonderful New Orleans style pasta with seafood -- yum! Ok, so more food thoughts, On Sunday morning before we headed out of town, we ate at the Kneadery, more yum:)

A Birthday, a Graduation and a little trip

It has been so busy with Hannah's 5th Birthday, Anders Kindergarten Graduation and going to Sun Valley this weekend!

Hannah's had her birthday party last weekend on Saturday.

Of course it was a princess party! Her friends came over and we played some games (pin the jewel on the princess crown), made some princess hats and had tons of fun with a mermaid pinata in the backyard! After the party Grandma and Pops came over and wished Hannah a happy birthday. She had so much fun.

Anders graduated from kindergarten yesterday!

It was so cute and they had a little sign that said they were the class of 2019!

Wow! that seems so far away, but I know the time will pass quickly:) Next year with Anders in First grade and Hannah in Kindergarten I will also be the PTO president at their school.

It has been a great few weeks and it will get even better with a trip to sun Valley this weekend. Larry is on a team for the Sawtooth Relay and I am the volunteer that the team is required to bring. Anders and Hannah will get to stay in Boise with Grandma and Pops for the weekend! I think that they are looking forward to that more than I am looking forward to a weekend away.
